NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Preseason National Rankings, and Rogers State has achieved its highest-ever ranking, coming in at 18
th with 106 points.
The Hillcats reached as high as 20
th in the poll last year and finished the year ranked 22
nd nationally. Yesterday, RSU was selected fifth in the NCAA Division II Central Region rankings, the exact spot they finished last year at the Central Region Championship.
Adams State is the preseason favorite on the women's side with 240 points. They are followed by West Texas A&M (231 points) and Grand Valley State (225 points). Pittsburg State appeared at 12
th in the poll with 154 points, and Fort Hays State was 26

RSU will kick off the season by hosting the RSU Distance After Dark meet at the Mohawk Sports Complex in Tulsa this Thursday. The women's race is scheduled to start under the lights at 10:00 p.m.
