Women’s Cross Country Tabbed Fifth in Preseason Regional Rankings

RSU placed fifth at the Central Region Championships in 2024

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its NCAA Division II Regional rankings on Tuesday afternoon, and Rogers State was selected to finish fifth in the women's central region.
 
The Hillcats achieved a historic milestone by finishing fifth at the 2024 NCAA Division II Central Region Championship to secure their first-ever spot in the NCAA Championships.
 
Augustana (S.D.) is favored to win the region again this season, having established a significant lead with nearly a 30-point advantage at last year's regional. Pittsburg State (Kan.), Winona State (Minn.) and UMary (N.D.) complete the top five teams.
 
RSU will begin the season by hosting the RSU Distance After Dark meet at the Mohawk Sports Complex in Tulsa this Thursday, with the women's race starting under the lights at 10:00 p.m.
