SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Rogers State women's cross country wrapped up their historic season as they ran in the NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday.
"I am so proud of everything this team accomplished this year," said Head Coach
Matt Kennedy. "This was a banner year for our program. All their success this year is a testament to their commitment and dedication. Their hard work paid off and I could not be prouder of them!"
Competing in their first-ever national meet, the Hillcats finished in 22nd place out of 34 schools with 554 points and an average time of 22:27.2 in the 6k race.
Jordan Wallace led RSU as she finished in 102nd place with a time of 22:11.6.
Ashley Riggenbach finished in 104th with a time of 22:12.7.
Katie Byrd finished in 121st with a time of 22:20.9. Sisley Mitchell finished in 158th with a time of 22:43.4.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in 162nd with a time of 22:47.1.
Cadence Cordova finished close behind in 164th with a time of 22:47.7.
Kaylee Nay rounded out the group in 204th with a time of 23:30.0
This meet marked the end of an incredible season for the Hillcats which saw them finish in second place in the MIAA and fifth in the Central Region with two all-region selections.
