JOPLIN, Mo. – Rogers State women's soccer (6-2-1, 1-1 MIAA) dropped a 1-0 decision to Missouri Southern (2-4-2, 1-1 MIAA) on Friday.
Freshman Savannah Harvey continued to show her skill in goal with four saves while only allowing the one goal.
The first 45 minutes were a defensive stalemate with neither team able to find the back of the net. However, RSU outshot the Lions 8-6.
The second half continued the trend as the Hillcats once again outshot the MSSU 6-4. Unfortunately, the Lions connected on the shot that mattered with the game winning goal in the 70th minute to take the 1-0 win.
RSU will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 3 as they travel to Warrensburg, Mo. to face off against Central Missouri.
