CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State closed out the fall semester in style with a 108-42 rout of Dallas Christian Saturday afternoon at the Claremore Expo.

The Hillcats eclipsed a team record for points in a single contest while recording their fourth straight win. Junior Candice Stewart and freshman Logan Froese both recorded double-doubles in the blowout victory. Stewart led all scorers with 17 points.

RSU opened the game on a 15-2 run. The Cats used full court pressure to force 17 first half turnovers with 12 steals. Froese spurred the big first period with 11 points and eight boards, leading to a 24-point advantage at the break.

Taryn Walls buried a three to start the second half for Dallas Christian, but the Crusaders wouldn't score another point for more than seven minutes. The Hillcats answered with a 24-0 run to put the game away. Coach Amy Williams utilized her entire bench as all 11 players in uniform scored and played at least 10 minutes. The RSU reserves outscored the Dallas Christian bench, 51-3.

Effanesia Baker, Andrea Miles and Hunter Peterson joined Stewart and Froese in double figures. Baker and Froese set new career highs with 16 and 13 points, respectively. Kali Bassett scored nine points off the bench and freshman Madison Harris contributed seven points and nine rebounds. Senior starters Yoda Woods and Jenny Hardin did not play in the contest.

RSU made a season-high 24 field goals in the second half while shooting 56 percent. The Crusaders were held to 29 percent shooting overall and were outrebounded, 59-29.

Rogers State (9-1) completed its first semester schedule with its best start in school history. The Hillcats will break for the holidays and will play Southwestern College on Dec. 30 at the Claremore Expo.
