About: Sharp is back at RSU for her junior season after appearing in 38 games and making 18 starts in left field in 2015 earning the team's Hillcat Softball Award. The Oologah, Oklahoma native ranked second on the team and is the top returner after posting a .308 batting average a season ago and added three stolen bases. Sharpe transferred to the Hill following her freshman season at Northeastern State for Head Coach Clay Davis. She made 28 appearances and five starts for the RiverHawks in 2014 scoring 10 runs. Sharp played her prep career at Oologah High School for current RSU Assistant Coach Andrea Vaughan, where she was a part of a 2012 Oklahoma Class 4A State Championship team with the Mustangs. She was the 2012 recipient of the Pride and Excellence Award given to "a player, who is most valuable to a team, is someone who can inspire others, speaks words of encouragement, and is committed to hard work and self-sacrifice." The daughter of Mike Sharp and Lisa Culbertson, she said she chose RSU because "it has great athletic programs."
