GREENSBORO, N.C. – Rogers State baseball achieved a historic milestone on Tuesday, moving into the top five for the first time in program history in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Week 10 poll, garnering 260 points. The Hillcats moved two spots in the rankings, surpassing their previous program-best of seventh.
The Hillcats (36-7, 24-5 MIAA) earned a 2-1 series victory against Washburn last weekend at the RCB Bank Sports Complex. They also claimed a season-series sweep against Central Oklahoma, winning 21-10 (8) in a run-rule on Tuesday in Edmond.
Catawba continues to lead this week's poll with 295 points, followed by Colorado Mesa with 286 points. From the MIAA, Rogers State leads the rankings, while Pittsburg State is seventh, Central Missouri is 22
nd and Northwest Missouri State is 28th. Emporia State is also receiving votes.
The Hillcats will seek a season-series sweep over Arkansas-Fort Smith at home tomorrow at 2 p.m. They will wrap up the week with a pivotal matchup against No. 7 Pittsburg State from Friday to Sunday in Pittsburg, Kansas. For more information and updates on the schedule, visit
