FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Rogers State men's cross country team finished fourth with 143 points at the Chile Pepper Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas on Saturday. The Hillcats competed in the Prairie Pepper 8K race at Agri Park.
Saint Mary (Kan.) won the meet with 39 points. Park (Mo.) finished second with 69 points, followed by Rockhurst (Kan.) in third with 130 points.
Cohen McIntosh led the Hillcats with an impressive 18th-place finish. The freshman recorded a time of 26:22.5, improving his position by 70 spots in the final stretch.
Jack Morgan finished 27th in 26:46.6, followed by
Lee Davis in 29th with a time of 26:51.0.
Blake Feron placed 40th at 27:13.5, rounding out the top 40. Sophomore
Clint Stapleton achieved a career-best time of 27:51.3, finishing 63rd.
Rogers State cross country will return to action on Oct. 11 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, for the Golden Eagle Invitational. The race will be hosted by John Brown University at Pollard's Field.
