LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rogers State softball ranks No. 19 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Hillcats are the second-highest ranked MIAA school behind No. 3 Central Oklahoma and ahead of Missouri Southern, who received votes. Three other Central Region teams were featured in the poll, including No. 13 Southern Arkansas, No. 22 Oklahoma Baptist and Harding, who also received votes.

After appearing in their second-straight NCAA Central Regional Championship and finishing the 2023 season ranked No. 20, RSU was picked to finish second in the MIAA this season with two first place votes.

The Hillcats open the 2024 campaign on the road as they travel to Conroe, Texas on Feb. 2 to compete in the DII First Pitch Invitational and take on St. Edward's and St. Mary's on the first day. They return to the Diamond Sports Complex on Thursday, Feb. 29 for the home opener against Missouri S&T in a doubleheader.
