LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its final rankings of the 2026 season, and Rogers State received nine votes following a strong finish to the 2026 season.
The Hillcats (37-21, 14-10 MIAA) found their rhythm at the right time in the postseason, starting a runner-up spot at the MIAA Tournament after making the MIAA Tournament Championship game for the fifth time in six seasons. In the tournament, they achieved ranked victories over No. 14 Pittsburg State and No. 12 Central Oklahoma before falling to No. 7 Missouri Southern, which would ultimately qualify for the NCAA Division II World Series.
This season also marked RSU's fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. In their opening game, the Hillcats upset host Pittsburg State but later dropped closely contested games to UCO and PSU.
Rogers State reached as high as No. 12 in the NFCA poll this season and recorded eight total wins against NFCA-ranked opponents.
