EMPORIA, Kan. – Rogers State women's soccer (6-4-1, 1-3 MIAA) fell on the road to No. 4 Emporia State (10-0-1, 4-0 MIAA) in a 1-0 decision.

Savannah Harvey played valiantly in goal for the Hillcats as she registered six saves and only allowed the one goal.

The Hornets outshot RSU 9-4 in the heavy defensive first half. Neither team was able to find pay dirt and things stood at 0-0 going into the intermission.

In the second half, ESU picked up the pace offensively as they outshot the Hillcats 12-3. They finally connected on what would be the game winning goal in the 54th minute to take the 1-0 victory.

RSU will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 10 as they travel to Topeka, Kan. to face off against Washburn. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
