TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Rogers State women's basketball team fell to MIAA opponent Northeastern State University, 81-60, Friday evening at the NSU Events Center. The Hillcats had the lead in the first quarter, but were unable to retain it for the reminder of the game.

The Hillcats started strong in the in first half of the first quarter, but quickly fell behind as Northeastern went on a 7-0 run to put the Hillcats down by double digits after one quarter with a score of 25-13.

The Hillcats were unable to erase the deficit. The team would trail by double-digits for the rest of the game.

Senior
Darian Jackson led the team in points with 12 for the game. Jackson would tie for the lead in rebounds for the team with seven in the game.

Two other Hillcats would reach double figures in points for the game. Senior
Alicia Brown would finish with 10 points and sophomore
Vanessa Gajdosova would finish with 11 points. Both would also record five rebounds for the team.

Freshman
Alyche Brown would lead the team in steals recording six for the game. Brown would tie Jackson for leading the team in rebounds with seven in the contest.

Bailey Kliewer would also tally seven rebounds for the team, along with the Jackson and
Alyche Brown. Kliewer put up nine points and one steal for the Hillcats.

RSU women's basketball returns to action at Oral Roberts in an exhibition game December 31 to round out the calendar year. Tip-off is scheduled at 12 p.m.
