ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Rogers State Women's Basketball team fell to Ouachita Baptist University 86-64 Monday evening.
The Hillcats were in a back-and-forth battle for the first few minutes, but the hosts went on a run midway through the first quarter and the Hillcats quickly fell into a deficit. At the end of the first half the Hillcats were down 47-31.
Rogers State was not able to comeback from the deficit, as the Hillcats were only able to shrink the lead to 10, before Ouachita used another run to increase their lead again.
Sophomore
Samariah Thompson had a career high in points for the game scoring 23. She also had two steals in the game.
Freshman
Bailey Kliewer also had a career high with 14 points. Kliewer also contributed four rebounds and a steal.
Senior
Alicia Brown led the team in rebounds for the game with seven.
The Hillcats shot 42 percent from the field but just 18 percent from three-point range. Ouachita was 62 percent from the field.
Rogers State will be back in action tomorrow, taking on Southern Arkansas Tuesday afternoon in Magnolia, Arkansas. Tipoff is a set for 2 p.m.
