Hillcats Fall On Road At Southern Arkansas

Box Score MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The Rogers State women's basketball team fell to Southern Arkansas University 74-49 Tuesday afternoon on the road in non-conference play. 
 
The Hillcats were in a tight battle for most of the first quarter, but fell to a double-digit deficit in the second quarter and at the half the Hillcats were down 33-21.
 
The second half saw the Hillcats cut the deficit to seven, but eventually Southern Arkansas went on an 11–0 run to pull away for good in the contest. 
 
Sophomore Vanessa Gajdosova led the Hillcats in points with 11. She was the only Hillcats to reach double-digits in the game.
 
Sophomore Samariah Thompson was second on the team for points with eight in the game. Thompson also had four rebounds and two steals.
 
Freshman Bailey Kliewer led the team in rebounds for the game with seven. Kliewer also contributed six points and had two blocks in the game.
 
The Hillcats shot 29 percent from the field for the game and 25 percent from three-point range for the game.
 
Rogers State will travel to Tahlequah, Oklahoma for a game against MIAA rival Northeastern State on Friday, December 20. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at the NSU Event Center.
