CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State women's soccer team ended a season-long five-game home stand Tuesday afternoon at Soldier Field with a 5-0 loss to Texas Woman's University.

The Hillcats and the Pioneers battled to a scoreless draw in the first stanza with each team tallying three shots on frame. Blair Thomas had the Hillcats best chance in the first half, skipping the ball just wide of the back post 10 minutes into the game.

Nancy Chavez answered with a near miss nine minutes later, firing a shot on frame, but RSU keeper Teri Cocke was able to deflect the ball out of bounds as the teams headed to the locker room scoreless.

The Pioneer offense erupted in the second half, firing 17 shots with nine on frame. The game-winning goal came in the 65th minute as Gabrielle Larson slid the ball just under the RSU goalkeeper. It was the sophomore's first goal of the season. TWU went on to find the back of the next four more times over the next 12 minutes with Larson scoring two more for a hat trick.

Cocke made seven saves while allowing five goals to take the loss in the net while Ariana Morrison registered the win as TWU improved to 5-1 on the season winning its fifth-straight.

Rogers State (0-8) returns to action hitting the road for the first time in three weeks as the Hillcats travel to William Jewell Sept. 30 for a 2 p.m. start.
