Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Hillcats Fall to Crimson Storm, 5-0

BETHANY, Okla. - The Rogers State women's soccer team suffered its first Sooner Athletic Conference loss as Southern Nazarene registered a 5-0 over the Hillcats on Tuesday evening at Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex.

Senior Jackie Acevedo led the Crimson Storm with a pair of goals.  SNU put 12 shots on frame while the Hillcats managed five shots on goal.

SNU took a commanding 3-0 lead into intermission. Sherri Collins got the scoring started with a goal in the 27th minute. Three minutes later Acevedo struck off a through ball by Sara Eguren. Mallary Schaub blasted the final goal of the half in the 33rd minute.

Acevedo continued to fuel SNU in the second half with a goal in the 68th minute. Eguren capped off the scoring in the 70th minute with a cross the beat the keeper on the backdoor.  

Chelsea McMullin received the loss in goal. The sophomore keeper allowed three goals while making four saves in the first half. Jordan Harris made her debut for the Cats in the second half making two saves and allowing two goals.

Rogers State (5-2-2, 2-1) looks to bounce back on Friday as they host SAC opponent No. 15 Oklahoma City University at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on www.rsuhillcats.com/live
