SHAWNEE, Okla.- Four different Rogers State women's soccer players scored goals in the Hillcats 4-1 victory over St. Gregory's on Tuesday afternoon in Shawnee.
The Hillcats took an early 1-0 lead as Chelsea Myers dished the ball to Melissa Subu who fired it past SGU goalkeeper Jennifer Tabor in the fifth minute of play.
Junior Lauren Hager doubled RSU's lead in the 21st minute of play with her first goal of the season.
SGU's Emily Lee cut the Hillcats lead in half in the 23rd minute of play. The Cats held onto their 2-1 lead at intermission.
Freshman Jianna Piela blasted the ball into the back of the net in the 72nd minute of play to give RSU a 3-1 advantage.
Cierra Lohaus sealed the win the in the 78th minute with a goal assisted by freshman Taylor James.
Sophomore Chelsea McMullin registered the win in goal. Tabor recorded the loss in goal, making three saves and allowing four goals.
The Hillcats fired eight shots on frame while the Cavaliers put one shot on goal.
