CHICKASHA, Okla. - Junior Veronica Subu scored in the 89th minute of play to give the Rogers State women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Tuesday afternoon in Chickasha.
The goal was Subu's first of the season and came off a penalty kick. The win marked the Hillcats fourth 1-0 win of the year.
Chelsea McMullin registered the shutout win in goal. The sophomore from Plano, Texas grabbed seven saves in her fifth clean sheet of the season.
USAO goalkeeper Addie Tipton recorded the loss as she allowed one goal and made two saves.
Rogers State (7-5-2, 4-3) will return to action on Friday as they host Mid-America Christian at Soldier Field at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed live at www.rsuhillcats.com/live.
