CLAREMORE, Okla. - A pair of second half goals gave the Rogers State women's soccer team a 2-0 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva on Friday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening half, freshman Jordan Beasley put the Hillcats on the board in the 70th minute of play. The Lafayette, La. native fired a shot from 20 yards out past NWOSU goalkeeper Caitlin Thorpe.
Five minutes later Beasley struck again to give the Hillcats a 2-0 advantage. RSU outshot the Rangers 23-9.
Sophomore Chelsea McMullin made three saves in the opening half and freshman Jordan Harris played in the second half making a pair of saves.
Rogers State (6-5-2, 3-3) returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to the University of Science and Arts. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
