ALVA, Okla. - Led by senior Tiffany Roberts with two goals, the Rogers State women's soccer team defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Alva Recreation Complex.
After a scoreless opening half with the Rangers out-shooting the Hillcats 11-7, RSU put its first goal on the board in the 47th minute off a penalty kick by Melissa Subu.
Just ten minutes later the Hillcats struck again on a penalty kick. This time Shereen Clarke fired the penalty kick past Ranger goalkeeper Kelsey Archer to give RSU the 2-0 advantage.
Roberts sealed the win with two goals. The first came in the 76th minute off an assist from Subu. She scored the final goal of the afternoon in the 86th minute with Casey Freeman dishing out the assist.
Chelsea McMullin recorded the shutout win in the net, making four saves. The Hillcats blasted 10 shots on frame while holding the Rangers to just four shots on goal.
RSU (10-5-1, 6-3-1) rounds out the regular season slate on Tuesday, Nov. 2 as the travel to Mid-America Christian. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
