Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

MACU Slips Past Hillcats, 1-0

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Rogers State women's soccer team fell in their regular season finale at Mid-America Christian, 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Evangel Field.

Kelsey Whalen's goal in the 57th minute proved to the difference in the game. Whalen buried the ball past freshman goalkeeper Chelsea McMullin after she deflected a shot by sophomore Julia Nimal and it landed at Whalen's feet.

MACU edged the Hillcats on offense, taking 16 shots while RSU fired 15 shots.  Senior Tiffany Roberts put two shots on frame while Shereen Clarke and Abby Rickner added one shot on goal apiece.

Melissa Dobie earned the shutout win in the net for the Lady Evangels, making four saves.

The Hillcats (10-6-1, 6-4-1 SAC) rounded out the regular season with a fourth place finished in the SAC. The Sooner Athletic Conference kicks off Saturday, Nov. 6. Tournament schedule will be released Wednesday.
