CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State women's soccer team was unable to get past Sooner Athletic Conference opponent John Brown University on Saturday night, falling 3-0 at Soldier Field.

After a scoreless opening half, Ashley Cochran put the Golden Eagles on the board in the 50th minute. Cochran buried the ball into the net off a deflection in the box.

Three minutes later, JBU tallied their second goal of the night as Alex McMichael capitalized on a penalty kick.

Jodi Knack rounded out the scoring for the Golden Eagles in the 88th minute, firing a shot from the top of the arc.

Jessica Turner, Shereen Clarke and Demi Mullin each recorded one shot apiece for RSU.

Freshman goalkeeper Chelsea McMullin gave up three goals and made eight saves for the Hillcats.

RSU (7-4-1, 3-2-1 SAC) returns to conference action on Thursday, Oct. 21 against Lubbock Christian at Soldier Field. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
