RSU Women Shoot Down Stars, 1-0

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Rogers State women's soccer team picked up a big conference road win Saturday night as the Hillcats knocked off Oklahoma City University, 1-0 at Stars Field.
 

Senior Kendall Clement scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute. RSU goalkeeper Bailey Lynn and the Hillcat defense took care of the rest. Lynn tallied 10 saves to closeout a spectacular week between the posts. She recorded back-to-back shutouts in conference wins over Wayland Baptist and OCU and finished with 22 saves.
 

The Stars outshot RSU, 14-10 with six more shots on goal, but were unable to break through.
 

Rogers State (9-1, 2-0) moved into a three-way tie for first place in the Sooner Athletic Conference following the opening week of the conference slate. The Hillcats return home Tuesday night to face Oklahoma Baptist at Soldier Field in Claremore. The match is scheduled for 5 p.m.
