CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State kept Bethel College on its heels all afternoon en route to a 4-1 victory at Soldier Field in Claremore, Okla., Sunday.

The Hillcats allowed the Threshers just one shot in the entire match. Emily Kliewer made it count by scoring on a free kick from just outside the box to tie the game, 1-1 midway through the first period. RSU gave Bethel goalie Kaylee Wiechman a thorough workout with 18 shots on goal. Sophomore Tiffany Roberts scored the first goal of the match on an assist from Carrie Ritz 19 minutes into the game. Ritz followed with a score three minutes before halftime to give the Cats a 2-1 lead at the break.

Freshman Emily Givan added a pair of goals in the second half to reach the final margin, 4-1. Givan leads RSU with 9 goals on the season. Wiechman posted 14 saves while the Hillcats racked up a season-high 36 total shots.

Rogers State (4-1) opens conference play Thursday at Northwestern Okla. State. The match is scheduled for 5 p.m.
