CLAREMORE, Okla. - An unfavorable bounce cost Rogers State as John Brown spoiled Senior Night at Soldier Field with a 1-0 decision Wednesday.

Robyn Cluka's shot it the 42nd minute hit the left post and glanced off RSU goalie Bailey Lynn before finding the back of the net. The lone goal withstood a tightly contested second half and the Golden Eagles held on to improve to 8-1-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.

After failing to record a shot in the first half the Hillcats responded with 10 shots and four shots on goal in the second period. Lynn posted 12 saves to keep RSU in the match but the Cats were unable to breakthrough against JBU's Megan Rouse.

It marked just the second loss for the RSU women's program at Soldier Field. Rogers State (12-4, 6-3) remains in fourth place in the conference after the loss. The Hillcats will travel to Bethany, Okla., Saturday to face Southern Nazarene. The match is scheduled for 5 p.m.
