White Wipes Out Evangels, 3-0

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State snapped out of its first ever losing skid with a shutout victory over Mid-America Christian Tuesday night at Soldier Field in Claremore, Okla.

Freshman Summer White recorded her second career hat trick to lift the Hillcats to a 3-0 decision. RSU entered the match on the heels of back-to-back losses for the first time in the program's history. White put the Cats in front early when she hooked a corner kick past Evangels goalie Kaylynn Pursley less than five minutes into the match.

The Broken Arrow, Okla., product added a second strike just 18 seconds into the second half on a nice feed from Morghan Saliba. White finished off MACU with her third goal on an assist from Carey Cloud in the 50th minute. The Hillcats tallied 18 shots on goal while the Evangels managed just three. Bailey Lynn and Jessica McCutcheon combined for three saves for RSU.

Rogers State (10-3, 4-2) remained in fifth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference after the win. The Hillcats travel to Shawnee, Okla., Saturday to face Oklahoma Baptist. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
