About: Monigold joins the RSU track and field team for its first-ever season after spending the last two years playing softball for the Hillcats. The Broken Arrow, Oklahoma native started all but one game in the outfield in 2014 leading the team in nearly every offense category landing on the All-Heartland Conference First-Team. She posted a .357 batting average with a career-best 10 home runs and 27 RBI. Monigold had a season to remember in 2013 that earned her NAIA First Team All-America honors from her outfield position. She tallied a stellar .433 batting average breaking the RSU single-season record with nine homeruns and 50 RBI in 56 games. Monigold joined the Hillcats after two seasons at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. She helped the Lady Norse to back-to-back NJCAA Region Championships and earned all-region recognition as a sophomore in 2012. She hit .398 with 82 hits, 21 doubles, seven triples and 10 home runs along with 49 RBI and 13 steals during her sophomore campaign. As a freshman at NEO, Monigold finished with a .367 batting average while racking up 66 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, five homeruns, and 35 RBI as a Broken Arrow High School product. The daughter of Ronnie and Amy Monigold, she said she chose RSU because "I got offered a scholarship."
