Biography

Koch battled injury most of the 2010 campaign, seeing action in only a third of the Hillcats contests. She got the start in seven games as a junior and had a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate. As a sophomore, Koch improved her batting average by nearly 100 points and was the Hillcats primary catcher in 2009. She hit .279 and cranked four home runs with 14 RBI. Koch threw out 62 percent of would-be base stealers and posted a .979 fielding percentage behind the plate. She made 52 starts for RSU during her freshman season in 2008. Koch earned all-state honors as a prep after leading Edmond Deer Creek High School to the state semi-finals. Koch helped Deer Creek claim four consecutive district titles and a state championship in 2003.
