GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced its seventh regular-season poll on Tuesday, and RSU baseball remained at No. 15 with 162 points for the third straight week.
The Hillcats (27-4, 15-2 MIAA) maintained their school record ranking after finishing the week with a 3-1 record at the RCB Bank Sports Complex. RSU secured a 16-4 (7) victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Wednesday, followed by a 2-1 series victory against Emporia State. The Hillcats tied a school record with a 19-game winning streak in the game-two win over ESU and remain atop the MIAA standings.
Catawba remained at the top of this week's poll with 297 points. MIAA opponents Central Missouri were ranked seventh, while Pittsburg State checked in at ninth. Emporia State and Northwest Missouri State also received votes in the poll.
The Hillcats will return home to the RCB Bank Sports Complex this afternoon to face Central Oklahoma, followed by a key conference road series against No. 7 Central Missouri from Thursday through Saturday in Warrensburg, Missouri. For more information on the schedule, visit
