MARYVILLE, Mo. – Six from the RSU men's track and field team concluded the week at the Coach Richard Alsup Open on Saturday night inside Hughes Fieldhouse.
In the 600-yard race,
Sam Russell achieved a strong performance, finishing fifth with a time of 1:14.39. This was the freshman's first time competing in this event.
The night wrapped up with the 3000-meet, where
Cade McCall earned a commendable ninth place with a time of 8:49.60. Following closely,
Cohen McIntosh secured 14th place, finishing in 8:54.23.
Jack Morgan crossed the finish line in 22nd place with a time of 9:01.70. Notably,
Lee Davis had an impressive outing, clinching 23rd place and achieving a personal best of 9:03.56.
Tanner Jenks rounded out the event, finishing in 31st place with a time of 9:10.97.
The Hillcat track and field teams will return to action on Jan. 23 at the JD Martin Invitational, hosted by the University of Oklahoma at the Mosier Indoor Track Facility in Norman.
