RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The GAC/MIAA announced its Week 2 Men's Soccer Players of the Week, and senior Alex Laing was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Fort Hays State's Dimitry Tchantcheu also received the honor.
 
The senior from London, England, anchored the Hillcat defense in a pair of 1-0 shutouts against Rockhurst at home and Oklahoma Christian on the road, logging 132 minutes on the pitch. Additionally, RSU limited the Hawks and Eagles to just four shots on goal.
 
This is the second time Laing has been named Defensive Player of the Week, with his first recognition occurring on Nov. 12, 2024.
 
Rogers State Men's Soccer will host UT Tyler tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to take on No. 17 St. Mary's in neutral-site action in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
