HAYS, Kan. - No. 16 Rogers State softball (37-13) fell 8-0 to No. 4 Central Oklahoma (46-8) in the MIAA Championship Tournament.

Abbey Rogers, Bridgett Morales, Savannah Evans, Brooke Nauman and Jade Sanders were all named to the All-Tournament team.

The Bronchos dashed out to an early lead in the first inning thanks to a three RBI double. They added two more runs in the second to go up 5-0.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, UCO tacked on two more runs to extend the lead to 7-0. An RBI double down the right field line brought in the first run, with the second run scoring from third on a fielding error by the pitcher.

They sealed the 8-0 win with one final run in the fifth off an RBI single to right center.

The Hillcats were not without their chances to score as they had two runners in scoring position in the fourth inning, but they couldn't drive them in.

Terin Ritz (18-3) earned the win. Jade Sanders (14-7) took the loss. 

RSU will now wait to learn their destination in the NCAA Division II Central Regionals. The tournament field will be announced on Monday at 9 a.m. A watch party for the selection show is scheduled at the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center on campus.
