TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Rogers State baseball (11-2, 3-0 MIAA) shutout archrival Northeastern State (6-8, 3-3 MIAA) in a seven-inning 11-0 win to sweep the series on Sunday.
Â
"Sweeps are extremely difficult to come by in the MIAA, and I'm just so proud of the way that our guys played all weekend long," said head coach
Chris Klimas. "Timely hitting and great defense played a big part in the success this weekend, but I think the big story of this series was our starting pitching. When we get those kinds of performances from
Colton Anderson,
Ky Decker and
Christopher Spry, we are going to be in good shape!"
