CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's basketball head coach
Justin Barkley has released the 2025-26 schedule. RSU will play 12 games at home, including nine against conference opponents inside the Claremore Expo Center.
RSU's season will kick off in Skiatook at Skiatook High School with a regional challenge against two Great American Conference (GAC) opponents. They will face Ouachita Baptist on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. and Harding on Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m.
The official home opener is set for Nov. 17 at noon against the University of the Ozarks on Claremont Day. The remaining non-conference games, scheduled at the Claremore Expo Center, are against Southern Arkansas on Nov. 22 and Haskell on Dec. 13.
The Hillcats will participate in another regional challenge in Bethany, Oklahoma, at the SNU Conference Challenge against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Nov. 28 and Southern Nazarene on Nov. 29. RSU will face the in-state opponents from the GAC for the first time since the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
The following week, the Hillcats will begin MIAA play on the road, facing Missouri Southern on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Pittsburg State on Dec. 6 at 3:30 p.m. They will then return home to face Central Oklahoma on Dec. 11 and Haskell on Dec. 13, both at the same times as the previous games.
The 2025 portion of the schedule concludes in San Antonio, Texas, for the River City Holiday Classic, where the Hillcats will battle Dallas Baptist on Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Dec. 17 at 5 p.m.
On New Year's Day, the Hillcats will travel to Wichita, Kansas, to take on Newman. Remaining road games include matchups against Fort Hays State on Jan. 22, Nebraska-Kearney on Jan. 24, Missouri Western on Feb. 5, Northwest Missouri State on Feb. 7, Central Oklahoma on Feb. 14, Northeastern State on Feb. 25, and Arkansas-Fort Smith on Feb. 28.
Remaining home contests feature games against Arkansas-Fort Smith on Jan. 7, Northeastern State on Jan. 10, Pittsburg State on Jan. 14, Missouri Southern on Jan. 17, Emporia State on Jan. 29, and Newman on Jan. 31. February home games include matchups against Central Missouri on Feb. 19 and Washburn on Feb. 21 on Senior Day.
The MIAA Tournament is scheduled for March 4-8 at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City. RSU reached the semifinals last year after defeating Missouri Western with a buzzer-beater before falling to eventual champions Fort Hays State.
