CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State women's soccer (3-2-2) fought to a 1-1 draw on the road to Central Oklahoma (5-0-2) in the non-conference finale on Friday night.

Maggie Brown scored her fourth goal of the season in the match.
Tiffany Brittan continued to be solid in goal with five saves but gave up her first goal of the season in five starts.

The Hillcats wasted no time as they immediately went to work against the Bronchos. In the fourth minute, Brown fired in a shot to put the Hillcats up 1-0 early. From there it was a heavy defensive half as neither team was able to get off many shots. UCO managed to outshoot RSU 5-4 in the period with two shots on goal to one.

The second half continued the defensive theme from the first 45 minutes. The Hillcats out shot UCO 9-8 in the period with six shots on goal to four. However, in the 80th minute the Broncos would net the equalizer to force the 1-1 draw.

The Hillcats will continue the road trip on Sunday, Sept. 18 as they travel to Wichita, Kan. to open up the MIAA slate against Newman. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
