CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State women's basketball (2-4) wrapped up non-conference play with a 77-39 rout of Oklahoma Wesleyan (2-5) on Saturday.

Two Hillcats finished in double figures on the day.
Tangee Gagau led RSU with 16 points with two assists and a rebound.
Kaya Goldsby added 13 points with a team-high six assists as well as five rebounds and a team-high three steals.
Bailey Kliewer posted nine points with two rebounds.
Trinity Jackson contributed a team-high 11 rebounds with six points and a block.

The Hillcat started the game hot as they opened the first quarter on a 6-0 run. After the Eagles answered with a three-pointer, RSU went on a 7-0 run to take their first double-digit lead of the day at 13-3 with 2:48 left in the period. They eventually carried a 17-7 margin into the second quarter.

Fredrionna Adams drained a three 30 seconds into the final 10 minutes of the half to go up 20-7. However, OKWU showed some signs of life as they managed to put together an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 20-15 with 7:10 remaining in the period. The Hillcats responded with a 12-2 run to push the lead back out to 27-15. RSU took a 36-19 advantage into the break.

In the second half, the Hillcats continued to roll as they outscored the Eagles 25-7 in the third quarter. This marks back-to-back games that RSU has scored 25 points in a quarter. They outscored OKWU 16-13 in the fourth quarter and eventually claimed the 77-39 victory.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Thurs., Dec. 1 as they open MIAA play on the road with a trip to Kearney, Neb. to face off against Nebraska-Kearney. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
