WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 21 Rogers State softball split with MIAA foe Central Missouri University on the road at the Jennies Softball Field Saturday afternoon.
GAME ONE
#21 Rogers State 4, Central Missouri 2

How It Happened
- Elexis Watson scored the first two runs of the game for the Hillcats after she hit a two-run homer to centerfield, scoring Jaylan Gibson, in the top of the second inning.
- In the third inning, the Hillcats extended their lead after Danelle Day hit a two-RBI double to centerfield, sending Tailee Reding and Sabrina Anguiano to open up a 4-0 lead.
- In the seventh, the Jennies were able to get on the board for the first time.
- The first run came off of an RBI double and the second came after a Hillcats fielder's choice allowed the runner on third to advance home.
- Andrea Morales was able to retire the Jennies with the tying run on first base to secure a game one victory.
Game Notes
- Watson led the Hillcats at the plate going 1-for-3 with two RBI's and a home run in game one.
- Day went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in game one for the Hillcats.
- Anguiano went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
- Morales picked up her 10th win. She had 9 strikeouts, with two runs and a walk allowed.

How It Happened
- The Jennies earned the first run of game two in the bottom of the second inning off of an RBI single to short.
- The second Central Missouri run came early in the third inning off of another RBI single, this time up the middle.
- The Jennies would widen the lead in the bottom of the third with a three-run homerun to right field, as Central Missouri took a 5-0 lead.
- Anguiano would score an unearned run in the fifth after Watson reached first on a throwing error to put the Hillcats on the board.
- The Jennies would score their next two runs off of RBI singles in the fifth and sixth innings.
- Central Missouri would force the run-rule victory after a Hillcat error led to a score, and an RBI single to left-center pushed the final run home in the sixth inning.
Game Notes
- Anguiano finished 1-for-4 from the plate with a run scored.
- Payton Sabolski was 1-for-2 at the plate with a walk. She was the only Hillcat to reach safely multiple times in the game.
- Watson earned the lone RBI for the Hillcats, but finished 0-for-3 on the day.
- Hillman picked up the loss, her third of the year. She had five strikeouts in the contest.
