EDMOND, Okla. – Rogers State women's soccer (9-8-1, 4-7 MIAA) fell 1-0 in the regular season finale to Central Oklahoma (12-4-2, 8-2-1 MIAA) on Sunday.
The opening half was a defensive stalemate as the Hillcats out shot UCO 8-5. Both teams had opportunities to score, but neither could get a shot to fall. Things stood scoreless heading into the intermission.
In the second half, the Bronchos got on the broad just two minute into the period as they went up 1-0 in the 47th minute. RSU made a valiant effort to score the equalizer with three shots on goal in the half, but unfortunately UCO's keeper stood tall and saved all three attacks. The Bronchos held on for the 1-0 victory.
