CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State women's basketball team fell to the University of Central Missouri Thursday night in MIAA play.

The Hillcats were outscored in the first quarter 26- en route to an 86-44 defeat to the league leaders. The Jennies would end up shooting 56 percent from the field for the game.

How it Happened: The Jennies would shoot 61 percent from the floor in the first quarter to build a sizable lead of 27-9 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter the Jennies would continue to build their lead, taking a 41-22 lead over the Hillcats into the break.

In the third quarter the Jennies would shoot 85 percent from the floor missing just one shot in the quarter. The Hillcats could not match the Jennies' shooting as they would shoot 30 percent from the floor.

Key Statistics: The Hillcats shot 27 percent from the field while the Jennies shot 56 percent from the field in the game. The Hillcats were also out scored in the paint, 54-28.

Players of Note: Darian Jackson was the only player for the Hillcats to reach double figures in points with 10 in the game. Jackson would also have a team high seven rebounds, a block and a steal.

Vanessa Gajdosova was second for the Hillcats with seven points. Gajdosova would also have three rebounds and a steal.

What this means: The loss extends the Hillcats losing streak to 14 games overall and 10 games in MIAA play. The Hillcats remained tied with Lincoln, their opponent on Saturday, at the bottom of the conference.
