CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader to Lubbock Christian on Senior Day on Friday (April 20) in the final home games for 11 RSU seniors at the Diamond Sports Complex. RSU fell 6-2 and 4-0 today to split the four-game weekend series after sweeping the Chaps yesterday in a twinbill.
It was Senior Day for 11 RSU seniors.

LCU 6, RSU 2
After an early 1-1 score, the Chaps totaled five straight runs in three innings to go on to win 6-2 in game one.
LCU opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first, and the Cats evened the score at 1-1 as Degnan scored due to a wild pitch.
In the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, the Chaps totaled five runs to pull out to a 6-1 advantage. LCU started with two runs in the fourth on two RBI singles up the middle. The fifth inning saw two more runs from the Chaps on an RBI single and due to an error. With one run in the sixth on a RBI single to left, the score moved to 6-1.
Blake Chiaramonte drove in a run in the seventh when he singled to left to bring in pinch runner
Zach Stanley for a 6-2 score.
The navy and red totaled four hits in game one. Chiaramonte was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Brendan Griffith and Hall went 1-for-3.
Zack Mann finished 1-for-4.
LCU's Ryan Johnson limited the Cats to the four hits. He went the complete 7.0 innings with three strikeouts, but had seven walks and two runs allowed.
Luce made his final home start in his two-year career in the navy and red. The senior went 4.2 innings with eight hits and four earned runs. Joe Lucas,
Sean Robinson and Zakar pitched in relief.
LCU 4, RSU 0
A grand slam home run was the difference in game two of the doubleheader as the Chaps won 4-0.
Ryan Rogers of LCU hit out the grand slam in the fifth inning to make it 4-0 in favor of the Chaps.
The four runs came right after the Hillcats loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth inning with only one out. However, LCU starter Daniel Crooks got back-to-back strikeouts to end the opportunity for RSU.
Crooks limited the Cats offense to only four hits in the nine-inning contest. He went the complete 9.0 innings with eight strikeouts and only one walk.
Bivens pitched for the final time at the Diamond Sports Complex. He went 6.2 innings with seven hits and four runs allowed.
Brock Knoten came in for the final 2.1 innings.
Casinelli was 2-for-3 at the plate in his final home contest in game two. Mann and Griffith totaled the other two RSU hits.
The Hillcats end the regular season with eight straight road games in two league series. The stretch starts next weekend at Newman in a four-game series in Wichita, Kan. A doubleheader starts the conference series on Friday with first pitch set for 2 p.m.
