CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State women's soccer team scored twice in the final nine minutes of the game to pull out a 2-0 victory over St. Mary's on Saturday (Oct. 20) at Soldier Field.
With the win, the Hillcats' postseason hopes are still alive. RSU ranks four points behind Lubbock Christian in the fourth spot of the league standings with two games in league play to go, including a head-to-head matchup between the two teams to end the regular season. The top four teams in the league standings advance to the conference tournament.
Senior midfielder
Eva Madarang scored the game winner in the 82nd minute when she knocked in a ball that deflected around in the box for a 1-0 score.

Melissa Cardenas had a free kick just outside the box. After her attempt on goal was saved, freshman
Laurelle Theodore scored on the rebound for the 2-0 advantage in the 88th minute.
The Hillcats controlled the second half of the contest, outshooting the Rattlers 14-3 in the period. For the game, the navy and red held a 23-6 advantage in shots, including a 12-4 mark in shots on goal.
BreAnn Tolleson registered a game-high seven shots, including four on goal.
Hannah Mushisky and
Kori Watters added four shots.
Senior goalkeeper
Taylor Sargent posted the shutout win. She went the full 90 minutes and totaled four saves. She moved to 8-6-2 on the season in goal.
