CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State baseball team plated nine runs in the fourth inning en route to a 15-3 win over Oklahoma Christian in the home finale at the Diamond Sports Complex on Monday. The win keeps postseason hopes alive for the Hillcats with three games remaining in the regular season.

Chris Miguel tied a school record with a perfect 5-for-5 hitting performance with three RBI.
With the navy and red up 4-2 heading into the fourth inning, the Cats totaled nine runs, capitalizing off four OC errors. The first run of the inning was the only earned run as
Ismael Orozco singled through the infield to score
Sam Davison. With two outs and the bases loaded, OC's first baseman dropped a pop fly to continue the inning and allow the first of eight more runs to score. With the bases loaded
Brooks Douglass worked a walk for a 7-2 score, and another error added one more run for an 8-2 edge.
RSU posted four more runs in the inning with RBI singles. Davison produced the first two runs with a single to left to score Douglass and
Sam Casinelli. The lead increased to 11-2 with a single up the middle by
Bradley Degnan, plating
Matt Seubert. Miguel continued the hot inning with a single to right to score Davison for a 12-2 score. The third of four errors in the inning allowed one more run to score for a 13-2 advantage.
In the fifth inning, the Hillcats registered two more runs for a 15-2 lead. Miguel singled through the left side to score Seubert, and the final run for the navy and red scored due to a
Jason Marley single to right. Davison came home on the RBI single.
OC scored its last run of the game on a sac fly to right field in the sixth inning.
RSU started fast in the game with three runs in the opening inning. Miguel's infield single scored Seubert for the first run of the game, and after a double play scored one run,
Garrett Hall singled to right for a 3-0 edge.
The third inning saw the Cats produce one more run for a 4-0 lead when Douglass singled to plate Miguel.
The Eagles cut the deficit in half in the fourth inning with a two-run homer to left field by Kolton Brown.
RSU tallied 20 hits, the second most this season, in the dominating win. Eight Hillcats totaled hits and eight had RBIs in the game. All nine starters in the lineup scored at least one run.
Davison finished 4-for-4 with two RBI. Degnan was 3-for-5 with one RBI. Douglass, Seubert and Hall all went 2-for-4.
Landon Nealon earned the win, moving to a perfect 5-0 on the season. The junior went 6.0 innings with two strikeouts and only six hits allowed. Senior closer
Rusty Huber came in for the final inning in his final home contest, getting three straight outs.
The Hillcats end the regular season with three games at Lubbock Christian on Friday and Saturday in Lubbock, Texas. The three-game set starts with a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m. at Hays Field and City Bank Clubhouse. Video, audio and live stats will be provided.
