WACO, Texas –The 2017 Heartland Women's Soccer Championship bracket is set with Rogers State taking on St. Edward's today at 4 p.m. in the semifinals. Dallas Baptist University will host the tournament at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas, Texas.
 
Four teams have advanced to the championship including a trio of regionally-ranked teams in DBU, St. Edward's and Rogers State.

DBU hosts the tournament after turning in a 13-3-2 overall record and an 11-1-2 record in conference play this season. The Patriots will face the fourth-seeded Newman Jets in the second semifinal on Thursday at 7 p.m. Newman clinched a spot in the championship tournament following a decisive 3-0 win over Lubbock Christian on the final day of the regular season. The Jets enter the tournament with an 11-5-2 record overall and an 8-4-2 record in conference play. DBU went 1-0-1 against Newman during the regular season.

The first semifinal will feature the second-seeded St. Edward's Hilltoppers who rallied to win four straight to close out the season and secure a sixth-straight conference tournament appearance. SEU went 11-3-4 overall and 9-2-3 in Heartland competitions this season. The Hilltoppers will face No. 3 Rogers State (13-3-2, 9-3-2 Heartland) who are making their first Heartland Women's Soccer Championship Tournament appearance after one of the biggest single-season turnarounds in conference history. The Hillcats more than quadrupled their conference win total from 2016 when RSU won just two conference matches. The teams split the regular season matchups with each team winning on their home field.
