LUBBOCK, Texas – The Rogers State women's soccer team fell, 6-0, at Lubbock Christian on Saturday at the LCU Soccer Field.
The Chaps scored two goals in the first half and added four in the second period for the 6-0 victory.
LCU started the scoring with the two goals in less than five minutes by Kate O'Gara. In the 20th minute, O'Gara put the Chaps up 1-0. She added the second tally in the 24th minute for the 2-0 lead.
After holding the 2-0 advantage at halftime, LCU started the second half with two quick goals in the first three minutes. Claudia Sanchez made it 3-0 in the 47th minute, and the margin increased to 4-0 in the 48th minute.
The Chaps added goals in the 72nd minute and 85th minute for the 6-0 final score.
RSU ended the game with four shots, including two shots on goal.
Addy Pritchard totaled two shots with one shot on goal.
Courtney Tucker put a shot on goal, and
Taylor Neubecker registered one shot.
LCU finished with 36 shots and 17 shots on goal. In the first period, the Chaps held a 21-0 advantage in shots.
Tayler Stover started in goal, going the full 90 minutes. She finished with a career-high 11 saves.
The Hillcats (4-5-1, 1-5-1 Heartland) end its three-game road trip on Tuesday (Oct. 4) at Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Oklahoma. Live stats and video will be available for the contest.
