Siloam Springs, Ark. – The Rogers State women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision at John Brown on Saturday evening.
Despite falling behind 1-0 in the fourth minute of the game, the Hillcats rallied back to even the score in the 19th minute as
Breanna Ray tallied her first goal of the season. Ray bent the ball just under the crossbar from the top of the box to knot the score.
The Golden Eagles regained the lead just before intermission with a goal in the 43rd minute and held the 2-1 advantage at the break.
JBU doubled its lead in the 66th minute with Jastin Redman scoring her fifth goal of the season. The Golden Eagles sealed the win in the 69th minute with an Anne Metz goal.
Addy Pritchard took the loss in goal for RSU with five saves while allowing four goals in 90 minutes of play. Hannah Poor made three saves while allowing one goal to earn the win for JBU.
Rogers State (0-9) opens Heartland Conference play Thursday with a game against Dallas Baptist at Soldier Field. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed on the Hillcat Network at
