A pair of free throws by Shane Rogers cut the Cat lead to 66-65 with 3:44 to go as the two squads spent the next three minutes trading the lead a total of five times. A bucket in the paint by Rogers gave OCU a 71-70 lead with 50 seconds remaining. A tip-in, put-back by
Larry Cox off a Kellogg 3-point miss clinched the Hillcats a lead they wouldn't relinquish. A pair of
John Boyd free throws sealed the deal and put the score at its final tally of 74-71.
Boyd notched 13 points while Kellogg added 11 to round out the Hillcats double-figure scorers.
