CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State men's soccer team was unable to overcome a two-goal halftime deficit on Saturday night at Soldier Field, eventually falling 3-0 to John Brown.

JBU midfielder Juan Iraola sent a ball through the Hillcat defense to Gabriel Duarte who ran onto it and slotted a shot past RSU goalkeeper Sean Surridge in the 38th minute.

Iraola increased the Golden Eagles lead just before intermission, scoring off a deflection in the box.

With less than a minute to play in the game, Luke Theimer earned JBU's third goal of the night.

The Hillcats had several chances to get back in the game but they were unable to capitalize.

In the first half, Steven Baker cross a ball to Henrique Sosa whose diving header sailed just wide and Victor Brown drilled a shot off the post in the 31st minute.

Baker put two shots on frame while Brown and TJ Martin each recorded one shot on goal.

Surridge takes the loss in the net for the Hillcats, allowing three goals while making six saves.

The Hillcats (10-3-1, 4-2 SAC) will host Lubbock Christian on Thurs. Oct. 21 at 5 p.m.
