RSU Women Whip Sterling College, 9-1

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State returned home to the friendly confines of Soldier Field Tuesday night and promptly put on a scoring clinic in a 9-1 victory over Sterling College.

Sophomore Lauren Hager scored four goals in the blowout while three other Hillcats got in on the scoring act. Junior Tiffany Roberts wasted no time putting RSU in front with a goal in the third minute on an assist from Sarah Williamson. Roberts added another tally midway through the first half and Hager notched her first two goals of the match to give the Cats a 4-0 lead at the break.

Claremore product Brittney McDonald scored her first two goals of the season in the second period. Hager added two more strikes and Shereen Clarke posted one goal to go along with one assist.

RSU goalkeeper Bailey Lynn lost a bid for her fourth shutout of the season when Kate Good scored off a corner kick for Sterling College in the 86th minute. Lynn recorded three saves in the victory.
