LUBBOCK, Texas - Rogers State picked up its sixth straight win with an 81-61 victory over Lubbock Christian at the Rip Griffin Center Saturday afternoon in Lubbock, Texas.

Junior Eric Young led four players in double figures for the No. 1 ranked Hillcats with 16 points. RSU dominated the boards with 46 total rebounds and outscored the Chaparrals 14-2 on second chance points.

The Cats broke loose from a 13-13 tie with a 9-0 run midway through the first half. A dunk by Abram Donlon capped an 8-0 run later in the period to push the lead to 36-21. RSU shot 61 percent in the first half and led by 20 points at the break.

LCU managed to slow the pace of play considerably in the second half but was unable to cut into the RSU lead. Kenny Hewitt scored 11 second half points for the Chaps and led the team with 16 points. LCU was held to 39 percent shooting on the afternoon and went just 4-for-20 from 3-point range.

Ten different Hillcat players found their way into the scoring column and all 13 players in uniform saw action for the second consecutive game.
