ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Rogers State scored an early goal and made it stand up for 90 minutes as the Hillcats edged Missouri Valley College 1-0 in St. Charles, Mo., Sunday.

Freshman Henrique Sousa put the Cats on the board six minutes into the match with his second goal of the season. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, native tallied what proved to be the game-winner.

Freshman goalie Tou Yang posted four saves to record his second shutout victory of the season. RSU outshot the Vikings 12-8 in the match.

Rogers State (3-1) settled for a split on its two-game road trip to Missouri. The Hillcats return home Thursday evening to host Tabor College. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, making it the first contest under the new lights at Soldier Field.
